Blake grew up in Banff, Alberta and has called Fernie home for the last 6 years. His passion for fishing started when his Dad gifted him a fly rod at the age of ten. Drawn to the wild places that the Native trout of the Elk River and tributaries call home, Blake has spent the last few years chasing big Bulls and dry fly sipping Cutty’s.

From dawn missions to seeing what’s around the next corner, Blake’s enthusiasm for wild places and native fish will rub off on you in no time. As a father of two young kids, the river is a place that Blake is excited to share not only with his kids but with friends and guests as well.
