Malia has been fishing since she was 7 years old and has worked in the fly shop since 2016, although you could find her hanging out there before then. She grew up in Fernie and learned to fish on the local creeks and rivers with her dad Paul. She is currently attending the University of Alberta and has come home to Fernie for the summer to fish, guide, and work in the fly shop.
